“In seed time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy.” William Blake

The snow is not quite upon us yet. But it is getting colder. I LOVE winter!

  1. I'm going to ask you in the middle of February whether you still love winter... I like the beginning of winter, too, with Christmas lights and cozy fires, watching a gentle snowfall... Your painting portrays all those wonderful winter feelings! Well done!

  2. Oh I do love winter too and I love the Blake quote. For me that is so true. The time it is easiest to enjoy friends and family...when they are by and large stuck with less to do! LOL Your winter scene is beautiful!

  3. the great thing about this landscape is the curve-y encompassing lines at the middle; contributing greatly to its composition. i mean, not everyone loves winter (i love winter, i just happen to live in the tropics, or maybe that's why). for some it's dull and boring and gloomy, not much color, not much element, but you solved that problem with such bends. really wonderful.

  4. I love your painting! I also really love the Blake quote. It is strange, I was just about to agree with you about your love of winter and then I caught sight of all those rich greens in your side panels and thought, "Oh but I love the early summer... and spring... oh and autumn.." I guess, each season has its treasures and beauties...
