"The time will come when, with elation, you will greet yourself arriving at your own door, in your own mirror, and each will smile at the other’s welcome." — Derek Walcott (Sea Grapes)
Good morning Elizabeth!... I discovered that you followed my blog this morning and decided that it was high time to visit your blog. I apologize for the delay in doing so... and felt compelled to mention how enjoyable it was to read through your journal.
I love the crisp... colourful visual content... a vertitable record of your daily comings and goings which takes it past being simply "journalistic".
I love your terse injections of favourite poets, writers and artists to compliment your lovely sketches! I was deeply moved by the L.M Montgomery quote that you used on Sunday, October 20th. Oh ... that we could leave paintings which spoke so eloquently. I might use that quote in my next post (with proper credit(s)! HA HA!
The Universe is a mysterious place. I too... love Venice. I spent eight weeks there... studying ... painting and wandering... to eventually find my Self. My professor/ friend was... Elizabeth Harding! How strange is that????
I shall return to see what's new!
Good Journaling and Painting! Warm regards, Bruce Sherman
Many thanks for your kind words. I have been to Venice 9 times and one of those times I had a chance to work there and wander and contemplate life too.... No relation though but very coincidental.
Beautiful painting
ReplyDeleteThanks :)

ReplyDeleteI love how the windows are so welcoming. I can imagine someone coming back here and feeling very much like it is home.
