“The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers and cities; but to know someone here and there who thinks and feels with us, and though distant, is close to us in spirit - this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Not only do I have the most amazing view of the bay from my balcony this summer, but I have an incredible garden too. My house is set on a hillside and my garden grows on terraces with pine, orange, lemon, vines, pear, medlar and olive trees, as well as beautiful honey suckle, jasmine, bourganvilia, palms, oleander, geranium. It's endless... and I can't wait to see how it changes through the season. It's an artists paradise. The first view I see in a morning as I set off for work is the garden spread out below me down to the sea and I look out across infinity. The sound of the bird song is heavenly too. It's a balm for the soul.
